Guys, BIG news!!!

In November I was invited to join the teaching faculty of the Harvard Law School Winter 2022 Introduction to Trial Advocacy program! The professor asked me to prepare a lecture for the law students on the importance of non-verbal communication in the courtroom. This was the perfect opportunity for me to combine my styling background along with the ontological coaching concepts I recently implemented into my business.

The goal of the lecture was to teach these future trial lawyers how to consciously utilize fashion as a tool to boost their confidence in the courtroom, which consequently affects their body language and ability to deliver a persuasive narrative. I guided them through the process of discovering one's personal style and how to implement stylistic elements such as colors, silhouettes, materials and accessories to help construct that image.

My main focus was to bridge the connection between fashion and how it affects our emotions, body & language.

Simultaneously, I sought to provide the students with styling tips that they could put into practice and utilize as a competitive advantage as they enter the corporate world.

Overall, the preparation for the lecture was pretty organic and seamless. The professor and I reviewed my outline over Zoom, and once the content was approved my team and I started to create a visual presentation to broadcast in the auditorium. The final month of preparation was a mix of excitement and anxiety where the main focus was optimizing my time between managing my business, organizing the trip and dedicating time and mental space to prepare for the lecture.

Shortly after booking the trip to Cambridge, the new Covid variant came along and Harvard decided to transition back to virtual classrooms. I quickly switched my travel plans and flew to Brazil, where I presented the lecture via Zoom at 11am on Thursday, January 13th.

The experience was absolutely amazing and rewarding. I felt honored to have such a renowned educational institution as Harvard validate the importance of my profession and enjoyed sharing this knowledge with the law students.
